Disaster Influence On Herdsman And Coping Strategies On Typical Grassland

Xilinhot city of Xlinguole League in Mongolia is an important production base for animal husbandry.Caused by climate change and impacts of human activities, the Xilinhot frenquent occurrence of climate disasters which restrict the development of animal husbandry and economic and social health.Climate disasters have not only caused herdsman income large fluctuations and made herdsman poverty. How to reduce the disaster and loss of disaster are an important task.The prupose of this article is the effects of climate disasters on herdsman.Selecting Xilinhot as the study case,this article is beneficial to help reduce the bad effects of climate disasters on herdsman.Core of this paper consist of three aspects (1)Using Xilinhot panel date regrssion to research the effection of the rate of death livestock on imcome of the herdsman and the effection of climate factors on livestock death.(2) Grouping herdsman by risk preference study the difference about effection of climate disasters.(3) The herdsman disaster vulnerability is calculated by selected vulnerability indexes which are combined with the means of AHP in2000and2010.Results of panel date regression shows that:the imcome of herdsman and Labour force,the number of livestock and the rate of death livestock have close relationship.The imcome of herdsman and grassland area do not have obvious relationgship.Climate factors and the number of livestock without the weight of grass in reserve have effect the rate of death livestock.Different preference group influenced by climate disasters is different.Vulnerability of herdsman of2010is lower compared with2000and vulnerability of risk appetite is higher than risk aversion.
