There are many ways to produce steel, but most steel is produced by converter steelmaking. The internal temperature of converter is very high when it is making steel, the refractory bricks will be damaged, even fall of. It has great influence to the efficiency of converter steelmaking and furnace age. Now people use slap splashing furnace-protecting technology and converter coating patching technology to lengthen converter furnace age.Slap splashing furnace protecting has obvious effect on the lower part of converter,but the upper half used high pressure converter patching technology. There are3obvious flaws of it:l:dangerous high pressure working environment,2:the output of patching powder can’t be accurately controlled,3:nncontinuous of patching powder. The writer designs a new low pressure converter patching machine to solve these three questions.The new ideal is using injection suction feeder to make high pressure patching environment to lower pressure, use open type material feeding system to feed patching powder continuously, then use the star wheel to linear control the powder output.Specific researches are as follows:(1)Writer designs the structure of new converter patching machine. The mainbody of patching machine includes injection suction feeder、star wheel and open type material feeding system. It is a good way to solve the three problems of current patching machine.(2)It particularly introduces mechanism of patching powder feeding continuously and linear control the powder output. Then paper studies the structure of star wheel, work out its’critical speed which can realize linear control the powder output.(3)The writer establishes fan-shaped model of injection suction feeder when suction spout is on effuser wall. It simulates the internal flow field of injection suction feeder, and studies the pressure and velocity of flow field characteristics, then gets the minimum pressure value and position on effuser wall. Paper studies the influence of different injection pressure, different effuser diameter and different nozzle taper to the internal flow field of injection suction feeder, especially negative pressure area, and gets the minimum pressure value and position on effuser wall when on different conditions. It provides the basis for the reasonable installation of suction spout and then completing continuously patching smoothly.(4)It builds3D model of injection suction feeder when suction spout is in effuser, and gets the influence of internal flow field on this occasion. It simulates the injection suction feeder model when suction spout is in effuser with different length. It particularly builds the injection suction feeder model which the suction spout length are4mm,8mm,12mm,16mm. Then it analyses internal flow field interference characteristic of injection suction feeder, and gets the pressure value of suction spout’s below.
