In recent years, with growth of national economy and keen demand of resources, mining strength increases constantly. At the same time, calamity happens now and again during the period of mining. Sudden Water Inflow is one of the main geologic hazards in mine engineering.on the one hand,water gush hazard does serious harm to people’s life and property, on the other hand, it brings adverse effect to engineering safety and environment around Mining Area. Therefore, it is urgently needed to research the technology theory of prevention and control of water disaster. At present, to build a water stop curtain wall is one of the most effective method to control water hazard in Mining Area, which is especially suitable for Metal-Containing Mine groundwater coupling with deposit. Limited to the complexity of geological conditions and development level of curtain construction, weak zone in grouting curtain forms easily in the process of construction and operation. The weak zone is a serious threat to mining safety because it can cause water’s entering inside. Therefore, it is significant to research the determination method of weak zone in grouting curtain and its treatment technology.Based on the engineering background of Zhang Matun Iron, diverse research tools are utilized in this work, such as the application of geological analysis, multi-level water test and geophysical exploration methods,etc. What is more, a substantial research effort has been undertaken, including developmental pattern of weak zone in grouting curtain and its main control factors, occurrence conditions of sudden water inflow from weak zone in grouting curtain, influencing factors, and so on. In summary, some useful conclusions have been obtained.(1) Variable quantity of drainage and supplement, along with the metabolic mode of drainage and supplement were analyzed in different condition—including natural conditions, artificial extraction condition, heavy curtain condition. Besides, the characteristics of groundwater system in construction period were detailedly studied, so were did in initial stage of completion and operation period. Moreover, the evolution law of groundwater system analyzed. Furthermore, With COMSOL software, numerical simulation was used to analysis groundwater flow field and pressure field on various conditions.(2) Developmental pattern of weak zone in the grouting curtain and its main controlling factors were analyzed in view of geological perspective, As a result, two main developmental pattern of weak zone in the grouting curtain was put forward. By use of multi-level water test, possible region of weak zone in the grouting curtain were defined. In addition, geophysical method was adopted to detect analysis region.as a result, the developmental state and distribution law of weak zone in the grouting curtain were found out.(3) After researching the occurring conditions of sudden water inflow in the weak zone of grouting curtain and its influencing factors, its process of energy savings and source power revealed. What is more, not only surrounding rock instability mechanism on condition of geological defective and non-geological defective were studyed,but also the possibility on Water-bursting of weak zone in the grouting curtain was analyzed from the point of risk assessment.(4) According to weak zone,a total integrated analysis method was established,which included geological analysis, study on water releasing test, geophysical method. Based on it, information on weak zone of grouting curtain was acquired, so that, grouting harnessing programming was designed against weak zone of large grouting curtain in Zhang Matun Iron. This research would have some referential value to similar projects.
