The Large Spiral Bevel Gear is the bevel gear which diameter larger than800cm. It is mostly used for the heavy redactor which used in the industry of mining area, metallurgy and fossil oil, etc. The requirements of Large Spiral Bevel Gear have improved much quickly as heavy industry have develop greatly. Cyclo-Palloid bevel gear is favoured in industry now. But the Cyclo-Palloid gear must be machininged with divided cutter-head in special CNC Bevel Cutting Machines. The manufacture of the cutter-head and machine whose structures are complex is very difficulty. Only the Klinglnberg company have the technique of the manufacture of the cutter-head and CNC machine of the cyclo-palloid bear gear now. To break the monopolize of large spiral bear gear by foreign company, the thesis researched two resolvents. One is change the design of Cycle-Palloid Bevel Gear to the circle-arc constant-depth tooth bevel gear. The circle-arc constant-depth tooth bevel gear have the excellence which calculating method is simple and be conjugated well, and can be finishing machining by grinding after hardening. The other method is design a new cutter head to machining the Cyclo-Palloid gear on CNC cutting machine to reduce cost. This paper opens research on the design and machining technology of circle-arc constant-depth tooth bevel gear and cyclo-palloid bevel gear. The mostly research content involves:1) Resolved the design and machining theory of large circle-arc constant-depth tooth spiral bevel gears, exports the calculate formula of the machining summary parameters of bevel gears, and constructs the digital model on tooth-flank, establishes the simulation model of machining the bevel gears.2) Develops the machining software of circle-arc constant-depth tooth bevel gears based on the H2000C/G CNC Spiral Bevel Gear Cutting/Grinding Machine. The paper analysis the operation environment and the function requirement of the software, constructs the software modular architecture. The software has been validated on the CNC spiral bevel gear milling machine. The result has proved the digital machining software on large circle-arc constant-depth tooth spiral bevel gears is utility and stabilization. It is fit for the actual demand in my country.3) This paper researched the cutting method to machining the Cyclo-Palloid gear with solid cutter in CNC milling machine and the design method on solid cutter.
