Porous adsorption resin usually by intermolecular forces to adsorb the organics inmedium is an important functional polymer materials in fine chemical industry,.Because of structure characteristics of groups, adsorption resin have polarity resin andnonpolar resin, which can flexiblely adust its strcture to correspond to a certain organicadsorption according to needs.Phenol wastewater is one of the common industrialwaste waters. Porous resin deals with such wastewater, which have many advantagessuch as high efficiency adsorption, easily taking off and renewable, convenientoperation, uneasily to cause the second pollution, helpful to comprehensive utilizationand so on.In the experiment, coosslinking polyethylene pyrrole(PVPP) porous adsorptionresin which is synthetized by the monomer of vinyl pyrrole (NVP), cross-linking agentof divinylbenzene(DVB) and porogenic agent of nheptane acting by means of AIBNinitiator in suspension polymerization has good adsorption of phenol. The bestmaterials rate: m(DVB)=8%m(NVP), m(AIBN)=1%m(NVP), V(n-heptane)=50%V(NVP); The best technological conditions:70℃polymerization temperature,2hreaction time, product washde with water, immered in methanol, then via pumpingfiltration, finally in90-120℃the dried vacuum In the best materials rate and processconditions, synthesis of porous adsorption resin has good repeatability, syntheticprocess simple, production rate reached85.68%. The appearance is ivory sphericalparticles with good swelling ability.In the paper, adsorption properties of PVPP to phenol in the water andcyclohexane have been reasearched. The results show that, adsorption value in waterand cyclohexane were92.78%and161.41%mg/g. Adsorption of phenol resin can bedesorbed by ethanol and desorption rate can achieve89%above.Adsorption kineticcurves which were setted-out met level2dynamic equation and granular spread withinas the main control speed steps. The adsorption isotherm of PVPP resin to adsorbphenol in cyclohexane solution was determined which accorded with Freundlichisothermal equation. Equivalent enthalpy adsorption, absorption free energy andadsorption entropy were worked out via thermodynamics function equation. Equivalententhalpy adsorption was between10and20kJ/mol which proved it was hydrogenbonding adsorption.Finally adsorption properties in the water and cyclohexane were compared.
