The electric power technology and auto control systems have had a rapid development, lead to the non-linear power devices have been widely used on nowadays. However, current harmonics have become a serious problem which could not be ignored. This paper focused on the characteristic of the Oil-Drilling rigs power bus and non-linear loads, proposed the direct power control structure Active Power Filter (APF) to suppression the harmonics of the Oil-Drilling rigs electric power systems.The main content of this thesis are as follow:The non-linear loads of the Oil-Drilling rigs power systems and the characterics of the harmonics are analyzed. The range of the harmonics quantity during working are summaried.The special control strategy of the APF used in the Oil-Drilling rigs grid systems has been reseached. The mathematical model of the harmonics detection methods has been built, and the simulated with computer to show advantages and disadvantages of them. In the compensation current generation section, comparison of three PWM control methods, which are the hysteresis control, carrier modulation, and Space Vector Modulation (SVM)The APF control system has been developed. Compensation Capacity, DC voltage value and link inductions value of the APF are all calculated. In the section of the hardware design, Hall Effect seniors are used for measuring the voltage and the current. The CPU of the APF control system is TMS320F2812DSP. The power supply management module of the CPU is TPS767D3xx. The DSP control system and related hardware and software analysis are verifid by experiment.The experiment and the simulation result show that the shunt APF can track the harmonics accurately and has good dynamic response capability.In the last, the main work is concluded and rising the insufficient place.
