Because the effect of human activities and natural disasters, global climate change and environment. change process is accelerating. Especially, with the rapid development of society and economic, Ⅰ and use/land cover type is changing quite significantly, and resulted to a variety of environmental effects. Urban Heat environmental effect is one of the environmental effects. Urban Heat environmental effect results from many factors such as land use/land cover type, the artificial heat sources from energy consuming, weather condition and other different characteristics and so on. Meanwhile, Urban Heat environmental effect closely related with the underlying surface of the environmental landscape. In the process of urbanization, a lot of natural terrain is constantly replaced by the artificial surface, and result to produce a more significant thermal environment imbalance effect. But the thermal environment imbalance could lead to a decline in the quality of human living environment. Thus, there has more and more attention to the Urban Heat environmental effect. This article will analyze the spatial pattern distribution of Urban Heat environment of the suburban area where Wenyu River located, and the factors which would effect the thermal environment imbalance. On the regional scale, with the help of RS and GIS technology, using6years’ Landsat TM/ETM IR images of Beijing city. Firstly, this article had researched the heat urban environment of study area quantitatively. Secondly, this article would analyses the temporal change trend and spatial distribution characters in study area. Thirdly, the thesis analyses the quantitative relationship between urban thermal environment and vegetation cover from different aspects in the same study. The last but not the least, this article analyses the quantitative relationship between urban thennal environment and land use/land cover type in the same study. On the microscopic scale, this study had analyzed the difference of surface temperature in different land use/land cover type, and analyses the impact of different environmental factors on the surface temperature. Results could be arranged mainly as follows.(1) As to the changes of land use/land cover type, the area of arable land and woodland which order to the agriculture the main is declining, while constructed land which orders to the non-agriculture the main is increasing.(2) For the changes of different landscape pattern index, at1987year,1992year,1998year and2011year, the changes of different landscape pattern index indicate that the fragmentation of woodland is the most serious, while un-used land is most slight.(3) The analysis of distribution character and pattern of urban thennal environment in study area indicates that the process of urbanization is conducting from the plains to the mountains.(4) The relationship between urban thermal environment and land use/land cover type is different, and the relationship between urban thermal environment and NDVI similar to the relationship between urban thermal environment and RVI.(5) On the microscopic scale, the order of the surface temperature of different underlying surface is like this, the artificial surface is the highest, and the surface of Joe vegetation types is the lowest.(6) the correlation between surface temperature and air temperature is better.(7) Compared with the measured surface temperature by noncontact thermometer, most of the surface temperatures which were used Remote sensing data to retrieve are smaller.
