Yinfu reservoir is located in the middle reaches of the Zhudong River. It is one ofimportant sources of water supply in Qingdao and Pingdu. In recent years, pollutants of YinfuReservoir increase year by year with the rapid development of agriculture around it. To preventpossible eutrophication of reservoir and protect water quality, it is necessary to understand thecurrent status and trend of eutrophication. This will provide scientific basis for future managementof water quality.This dissertation is based on a comprehensive analysis of the meteorological measurements,historical hydrological and water quality monitoring data of Yinfu reservoir and the surroundingareas. EFDC is applied to simulate water quality of Yinfu reservoir. The results of hydrodynamicprocess and water quality have been verified well with the observation data. So the model can beused for analysis and prediction of water quality of Yinfu Reservoir. The main results are asfollows:About70percent of the total nitrogen is nitrate in Yinfu reservoir. Annual precipitation andinorganic nitrogen concentrations of reservoir are closely related. This proves that the nitrogenfrom surface runoff is the main souce of nitrogen in Yinfu reservoir.The fuzzy mathematical comprehensicve evaluation of water quality showed that Yinfureservoir was almost in the medium eutrophication from the year2004to2008.The water quality of Yinfu reservoir was simulated from the year of2011to2015. It is showsthat nitrogen is the main pollution factor under the current inside and outside load in YinfuReservoir. The total nitrogen concentration is four times that of Type Ⅱwater standards in theyear of2015. The ammonia concentration and the permanganate index concertration are in theType Ⅱwater standards.According to the water enviroment model of Yinfu reservoir, the impact factors of nitrate,ammonia nitrogen and permangante index concentration have been analyzed. It is shows thatexternal source is the main factor which affects the water quality of reservoir.
