Under the background of globalization, China’s urban constructionlong imitates Western models, the design of mainstream bathroom productsstem from the Western lifestyle and behavior. While China’s manufacturingindustry pursuing independent innovation, it’s an effective approach forbathroom product design innovation to research on Eastern traditionallifestyle and habits.User behavior in the bathroom space is the core of the study. Weanalyzed review of related research at home and abroad on the basis ofexisting products and mainstream bathroom space. Type of behavior ofresidents in the bathroom space research and analysis through questionnairesurvey and user interviews has been used. According to relevant theoriesand methods of behavioral analysis of user behavior in the bathroom space, from four different levels of physical, psychological, cultural, socialenvironment, the following conclusions:1. Physiological needs drive the behavior and physiological conditions, the ability to determine the behavior of users of bathroom products in thephysical, there is a huge difference, bathroom product design gooduniversal design features should be added to deal with.2.Materials of sanitary products to influence user behavior, thepsychological feeling of visual, tactile, and sanitary use of the productcycle, to consider the long-term impact on the choice of material in the form of color.3. Clean way of progress from the changes in the cleaning tool, theprogress of cleaning agents, water cycle revolution in the way.4. Family factors on the cleaning behavior has a major role, followedby the factors of the regional characteristics and the level of socialdevelopment. In the last link, the above research conclusion as grounds of objection, after a directional design practice, we create a highly-acceptance bathroomproduct solution. It verifies the feasibility of the product innovation designmodel based on the user behavior.
