The hydrodynamic characteristics of notched-type directed valve trays were studied in a1600×400mm2rectangular column with the air-water system.The critical gas velocity through valve holes, pressure drop, entrainment and weeping of the trays were measured. The results show that the notched-type directed valve trays have excellent hydrodynamic characteristicsr.The feasibility of technological innovation scheme was tested and the simulation results have guidance value for practice.The results show that compared to the traditional F1valve trays, notched-type directed valve trays have higher production capacity and separation efficiency greatly, less energy consumption evidently.
