Energy increasingly scarce in today’s society, underwater oil and natural gastransportation pipeline leak, more and more get the attention of many domestic and foreignoil companies. Particularly obvious leak point detection problem in the country, there is nogood detection methods. This article is based on this case. Using the pool simulation methodstudy the radiated noise of underwater pipelines leak and probe the position.First of all, this paper studies the underwater jet in theory of noise Light hill model andgive the sound pressure experience formula, through the computer simulation and tank test, toexperience the formula was revised, and combined experimental data and calculated thesound source level. In a follow-up treatment process, the jet noise power spectral density andits variation with the openings, pressure and other parameters, combined with experimentaldata, fitting the variation curve. Secondly, Secondly, this paper studies the single vectorhydrophone of bearing principle, the weighted histogram method and histogram method.Combined with the experimental data to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of thesetwo methods in finding scope. Again, this paper studies the basic hydrophone triplets arraypassive bearing metering distance principle, and analyzes the error sources and discuss themethods for reducing errors. Through the simulation signal, analyze the influence of targetorientation, target distance and other factors. In the pool conditions, complete the experimentof the passive location of the designated target and moving target passive tracking part.According to the experimental data and simulation, we get the results of analyzing theperformance and scope of application of the hydrophone triplets array of passive positioning.Finally, combined experimental data obtained the level of radiation noise, frequency band,scope, power spectral density curve. We analyze the advantages and disadvantages of variouspositioning methods, positioning accuracy and applicability conditions.The paper also describes a pipeline leak detection difficult issues, such as thedouble-pipe internal flow and surface seepage outside the detection problem, and needsfurther exploration and research.
