Preparation And Application Of P(DMC) And PAC Polymer Flocculant

P (DMC) is a new polymeric flocculant.It is used in wastewater treatment because it is convenience、environmental and lower cost. In this paper, a ne w inorganic and organic compound flocculant P(DMC)+PAC was compounded by the P(DMC) and PAC. The new flocculant join the advantages of P(DM C) and PAC it had stronger ability to treat wastewaters. Research the best fa ctors of the combination condition and discuss the flocculent effect on differe nt wastewater; And compare the flocculant effect to the P(DMC)+PAC、PAC and the direct mixture; make an economic assessment on the price of making project.The main conclusions are as follows:1、The best factors of conditions were:hundred percent of Initiator weight:0%,temperature:50℃, the rate of Reactants:2:1, The react time:60min.The IR sp ectrogram showed that:the P(DMC)-PAC which was compounded by P(DMC) and PAC was a new inorganic and organic compound flocculant.2、Used the new flocculant to deal with different wastewater to achieve good results:It had good effect on wastewater of high Turbidity and high chromin ance. It had a high removal rate of turbidity as above98%in general. The r emoval rate of chrominance is about88%.To deal with the water of high CO D, the removal rate of COD can get above60%.3、Take the city wastewater for example:the flocculant effect on the removal rate of COD、turbidity and chrominance of the P(DMC)+PAC is much better than the PAC and the direct mixture under the same amount added. Moerov er, the remaining amount of A13+in the rest of water is0.32mg/L,this numb er is lower than the amounts0.86mg/L and1.17mg/L,which are measured i n the rest of water by PAC and the direct mixture. All that can prove the ar gument:the inorganic and organic compound flocculant P(DMC)-PAC is high efficiency and environmental.4、The cost of material of P(DMC)-PAC was10000yuan/t,it has the better ec onomic results.
