In this paper, the basic methods of air separation and the development status of airseparation industry in domestic and overseas are described. The reconstruction purpose,principles of design, design calculation, type selection and the design calculation of process pipe,of KDN-1000Air separation anti-seismic in Sinopec Luoyang Company are introduced. The keypoints of the air separation project (model KDN-1000) modification and construction isdiscussed.After simulation calculation on the rectifying tower by using PRO/Ⅱ simulation software,through altering the intake mass, the next technical reform machine is come to a conclusion, andthe own opinion is raised.By researching recovery and utilization the oxygen-enriched air, which is the secondaryproduct of nitrogen production plant, two recycling methods are put forward. Boilerassistant-burning, sewage disposal, and the application of Claus Sulphur recovery technique areanalysed. It is explicated that oxygen-enriched air recovery and utilization in air separation unitof petrochemical enterprises is practical, less investment cost, but considerable beneficial result.Putting into production for two years, actual nitrogen output achieves1600m3/h, nitrogenpurity achieves more than99.999%, it is demonstrated that this technical reform is successful.The total investment of this project is about1500thousands yuan, which can be regained in halfa year.
