To improve the processing capacity of the sulfur recovery unit, the formationprocess and calculation method were studied. According to relevant literaturecombined with practical, used use EXCEL, PROII software, prepared the sulfurrecovery unit process calculation table, the completion of the sulfur recovery unitacidic gas furnace equipment in a not rich oxygen and rich oxygen casestechnical calculation, combined with my company rich oxygen source and theactual, puts forward the rich oxygen modification scheme.Specific content as follows:1. The sulfur recovery unit process calculation method was studied.Throughthe calculation of chemical equilibrium constant, according to the reaction aroundenthalpy balance, the balance of transformation was computed, the balancetemperature was calculated. Using this method, the acidic gas furnace wascalculated. The results and literature value deviate about0.9%.The researchshows the calculation method are accurate, meet the engineering calculationrequirements.2. Four conditions in air was Calculated to the sulfur recovery unit.According to the sequential patterns, each of sulfur recovery unit designcalculation, the various equipment and material composition and production loadwas calculated. In normal load and110%under the load, the equipment was basicsatisfied; Production load more than110%, the equipment appear super designload phenomenon; Level1condenser and exhaust gas heating furnace to designload can be200%.3. The sulfur recovery unit in rich oxygen40%,150%production loadconditions was calculated and identified various equipment material compositionand production load. Calculation results show that in the rich oxygen conditions,the device can reach150%of the production load.4. The rich oxygen transformation engineering problems was Studiedat our company. For rich oxygen modification in our company,150%ofproduction load namely60×10~3t/a, acid gas combustion furnace does notmeet the requirements, other major process and equipment are not need to perform change, rich oxygen enough, as long as the increase of200meters richoxygen line then, utilities convenient, the transformation is feasible.
