| With the further development of environmental science and environmental protectiongradually improved, different disciplines of environmental science have made a great progressand get a lot of achievements, and our environmental protection become more scientific,better and standard, among these process, many kinds of departments of research onenvironment accumulated a great deal of science data. The representation, store, organization,management, pattern and rules of sharing are greatly different because of multi-disciplines.Considering those characteristics of environmental science data, the article studied anddesigned the classification code and metadata standard of environmental science data forsharing combined with so far environmental science national and industry standards,depending on the Environmental Science Data Sharing Service project of Chinese Research ofEnvironmental Institute (CRAES). The data were divided into four-level class, which contains5major classes,29medium classes, and some small and children classes. Also, this studymade a classification coding system by referring to national standards of environmentalinformation classification code and basic geographic information features classification code.Environmental metadata was studied and designed based on analysis of characters ofenvironmental science data as well as taking examples from metadata standards of waterenvironment, atmosphere data and soil data etc. The metadata designed in the paper containseight modules, which are identification information, spatial reference information, coveringinformation, distribution information, maintenance information, project information andmethod information, providing registration service for dataset series and single dataset, alsothe standard is represented by Extensible Markup Language(XML).The paper especially studied environmental science data sharing strategy and keytechnology of platform building using Geoportal extension of ArcGIS Server. The platformused a lightweight, distributed, website-based sharing mechanism, and provided data andfunctionality services realized by REST form. Also in this study, Web Harvester and FederalData Search Engine are designed for synchronous update and compositive search, which giveeffective data sharing and convenient operation. |
