Grinding is a key technology of various mechanical production, which is also a main measure and important working procedure in mechanical parts'finishing machining. High-precision grinding is a high-effective and economic modern machining technology for producing high-quality parts and one of the complex frontier disciplines. Use high and precision grinding technology can highly extends the efficiency and reduce the costs of production to obtain much higher surface quality and processing precision of parts. Abundant scientific data was fund in by carrying out series of national science & technology plan in grinding industry. For lack of effective management mechanism and unite standard and suitable data-exchange platform, inconsistency between the overstock of mass data and the data users'growing requirement embarrasses the circulation and share of data resources.Along with the development of internet, we build up a high-precision grinding data-sharing platform using advanced information technology would be a force and a guide to the technology innovation and manufacture industry expansion, which can improve the international competence of our national grinding industry and has a important signification for promoting the communication among countries and the science resource running efficiency.Through searching the data and definition on science data-sharing from home and aboard sources, the paper analyzed the problems existing in science data-sharing in detail. According to the data users'requirement and the whole construction claim of advanced manufacturing and automation technology science data sharing platform and the experiences of science data-sharing platform construction in other subject area, the paper generates a distributed high-precision grinding data sharing implement plan based on metadata. The plan designs a metadata system based on collection-object model and a data resources system on high-precision grinding, implements the managing and searching functions of data-sharing platform based on metadata database. The extensible, configurable, security system established a solid base for the high-precision grinding data-sharing efficiently.
