The four-bar which decides the trajectory of top beam is the core of the design ofhydraulic support. In order to improve management and load bearing capacity of hydraulicsupport’s roof, the trajectory of top beam should be lemniscates or monotonous curve. Nowmany mine companies are still stuck in manual optimization which costs lots of time and theoptimization result is poor. The main work of the thesis is as follows:(1)This thesis analyzes the motion of the hydraulic support and established the motionmathematical model of hydraulic support which actives with hydraulic cylinder. And thestudy is simplified from the top beam to the endpoint of the four-bar through the calculationby MATLAB. Then the mathematical model and the corresponding constraint of four-bar areconstructed.(2) The genetic algorithm is designed to optimize the parameters of the four-bar linkage.The population size, crossover probability and other parameters are chosen by test. SelectZY12000/20/40hydraulic support and calculate to verify the validity of genetic algorithmthrough the simulation of ADAMS.(3) The software for the optimization of top beam trajectory is compiled for the use of thedesigner. The software includes parameters input parts and graphic output parts. The userinput constraint parameters and select the target of optimization. Then the software outputparameters of four-bar and corresponding graphic of trajectory which meet the target ofoptimization.
