In recent years, with the development of servo motor and servo control technology, servopress has also been rapidly developed. Compared with traditional mechanical press, servopress is driven directly by the servo dynamo instead of flywheel and clutch. Combined withthe high-precision control system, servo press has been favored by more and more users withits excellent performance such as high-precision, high flexibility, high efficiency, low noiseand low power consumption. The2000KN open crank servo press designed in this paper is aservo press in general purpose, and research is developed in following aspects:Determine the transmission scheme of the open crank servo press. Use ADAMS softwareto analyze the kinetic characteristic of each mechanism’s slider and the driving torque of thecrank, and then, combing with design demand, confirm the crank-slider mechanic as theimplement mechanic of this servo press. Finally, the transmission scheme of this servo pressis confirmed as crank-slider mechanic driven by the servo motor which is decelerated byprimary gear.Structural design of the servo press body and transmission system, construct thethree-dimensional digitalization model. Due to the complex loading conditions of the crank,do the strength and stiffness checking to the crank with the finite element method; do thestatic analysis of the body and find the weak area, optimize the section size of the throat., andthen make sure that the strength and stiffness of the advanced body structure are at high level;at the same time, do the model analysis to the crank and body, and make sure vibrationcharacteristic, natural frequency and mode of vibration, and finally provide a foundation ofthe optimization to the structure dynamic performance of the servo press.Do the simulation analysis of the servo press which is based on the virtual prototypingtechnology. Conduct the virtual assembling of the servo press; use finite element methodsoftware ANSYS Workbench to process the static analysis and get the stress distribution,angular distortion and vertical distortion; conduct the kinematics and dynamics analysis,simulate the kinetic characteristics and driving torque characteristics in the stamping process, while the dynamo is operating at a constant speed or variable speed, and finally createconditions for the model selection of dynamo and optimization of technological parameters.
