Oil plays a very important role in the economic and social development nowadays.Production with electrical submersible pump as an important kind of oil exploitationmethod,have been widely applied in the oil field for years. The monitoring of electricalsubmersible pump wells is very important to improve the productivity in oil field. In thiscase, how to improve the monitoring level of electrical submersible pump wells, is aproblem that is worthy of research.The rapid progress of information technology provides a solution for remotemonitoring. In this thesis, remote monitoring of electrical submersible pump wells was theobject of research. This thesis presented and designed a remote monitoring system basedon GPRS for electrical submersible pump wells, communicating with GPRS network andInternet. The purpose is to help technicians find fault or hidden trouble of electricalsubmersible pump wells more quickly. They can take measures to make electricalsubmersible pump wells come back to the normal production status as soon as possible.The structure and working principles of oil exploitation system of electrical submersiblepump wells were illustrated. By analysis and comparison of common wireless monitoringtechnology, the GPRS technology was selected to transmit data. The system was designedon the whole. After analyzing the function of the monitoring system, the components anddesign principles of the system were determined. Then the monitoring terminal hardwareand software were designed. The monitoring terminal is used for collecting field data andsending the data to GPRS network wirelessly. MSP430microcontroller is used to controlthe process of collecting data. And GPRS module is used to send data wirelessly. MC55isused as GPRS module. The monitoring terminal completes the function of collecting databy coordinating with two MSP430microcontrollers, and sends data wirelessly by MC55.The architecture of monitoring server software was analyzed. And the server software wasdesigned by the method of Java Web. The server software accomplishes the data storageand the release of monitoring information mainly.The remote monitoring system designed in this thesis suits to the developmental direction of digital oil field construction. And the system provides solutions and ideas forremote monitoring of electrical submersible pump wells.
