The Research And Development On NC Tool Selection And Management System For SMEs

CNC machining has become the core technology in manufacturing enterprises.The right choice, the rational use and the effective management in CNC tool have adirect impact on the production efficiency and quality; furthermore determine theeconomic interests and the core competitiveness of SMEs（Small and MediumEnterprises）.This paper, basing on analyses in the status quo and the trend in CNCtool at home and abroad, with the status quo of SMES and the demand in CNC tool,studied and developed a set of management systems suitable for SMES. It includes:(1) To analyze the problems in CNC machining, study the status quo in CNCtool, key technologies; probes in the use and management, the problems, as well asthe inapplicability of CNC tools for SMEs;(2) To analyze the key informations and the objective factors in CNC tool,construct systematic classification in CNC tool, and finalize how to properly chooseand rationally use CNC tool.(3) To analyze the international standard “ISO13399of the cutting tool dataexpression and exchange ", study and develop the management coding system inCNC tool, guide in selection and mangement in CNC tool.(4) To study how to manage information in production, design the managementsystem framework and module function, analyze and select the mode of the system,and develop the data interface technology.(5) To study the characteristics of the data model of the database technologychose the relation data model, use ACCESS2007developing tool, combining with theCNC tool selection and management needs, design and develop CNC tool selectionand management system database.(6) To study and design the interface of the CNC tool selection and managementfunction of the system, use the Visual Basic object-oriented application developmenttool, adopt the ADO data access technology, design and develop the foregroundapplication system, and achieve the main results.
