N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) have strong coordination ability, whichfacilitates the oxidative addition of substrates to metal and the formation of the strongmetal-carbon bond. In catalytic cycle, the strong metal-Ccarbene bond is not easy tobreak, it can enhance the stability of the catalyst. In recent years, it has been used asan substituent for phosphine ligands, and the NHC-transition metal complexes havebeen attracted great attention over the past decades because of their widelyapplications in catalysis, materials and medicine. With the extensive research of chiralNHC ligands in asymmetric catalytic reactions, to explore efficient, practical chiralligands and catalysts as the most important research in organic research, chiraltransition metal complexes become the meaningful work.In this paper, we reported efficient synthesis of novel chiral bisimidazoliumdichlorides under solvent-free conditions, synthesis of chiral NHC metal complexes, and a series of catalytic research in Suzuki reaction. The thesis is divided into fourparts:The first part mainly introduces: the topics of the basis and significance of thetopic of this thesis, as well as domestic and international research status, and describesthe NHC palladium compounds catalysts in Suzuki Reaction. The second part mainly introduces: the synthesis and characterization of1-substituted imidazole,1-substituted benzimidazole, chiral bisimidazoliumdichlorides and chiral bis(benzimidazolium) dichlorides. They were synthesisedeffectively in solvent-free conditions at ambient pressure. This method has thefollowing advantages: the phenomenon of significantly shorter reaction time, purification convenient, high yield. This protocol features an eco-friendly process, ashort reaction time, easily control and good yields. The third part mainly introduces: the synthesis and characterization of chiralbinuclear NHC-Pd compounds under anhydrous anaerobic conditions, they have beencharacterized by1H NMR, IR, elemental analysis. The fourth part mainly introduces: the application of metal palladium compoundsin the Suzuki Reaction.
