With the development of technology, the standard of machinery manufacturing is higherthan before. China’s machinery manufacturing is facing with the challenges of high precisionmanufacturing. The development of machinery manufacturing can’t be got without theimprovement of detection techniques. Surface contour detection is a valuable topic ofmachinery manufacturing, until now we have not formed a common detection method. Today,optical fiber communication and sensing technology have got rapid development; itsapplication has penetrated into all fields of national economy. This paper presents a newmethod--surface contour detection system based on optical fiber sensor, it has greatsignificance and application prospects.This paper talks about the background of the research and the meaning of the topic. Themain content is about two aspects, the one is optical fiber sensors and the other is surfacecontour detection, then the paper proposes a new method of surface contour detection usingoptical fiber sensor. The paper proposes a basic principle of how to use fiber-opticdisplacement sensor for measuring small surface and makes a conclusion about differentoptical measurement methods. The paper instructs the design process of the testing prototypeincluding mechanical design, motion control design and sensing system design. In the motioncontrol system, we use the motion control card as hard platform and Visual C++as thesoftware platform. In the sensing and data acquisition system, we do a nonlinear correctionbased on the neural networks on the optical fiber sensor and we project a data measurementsystem using the LabView.In order to prove the reliability of surface contour detection optical fiber sensor, we do atest to find that it is reliable to detect the surface of the parts using fiber optic sensors. Ofcourse, there are some drawbacks in the paper, finally the paper makes a conclusion andprospection. |
