Continuous annealing furnace has high efficiency of heat treatment. It mainly producesstrong tensile strength and strong plastic strip. The strip temperature control of heatingsection directly influences the quality of the products. Heating section is the most criticalannealing furnace section. Therefore, the study of heat transfer process, modeling, anddynamic response, based on the characteristics of the heating section, is the key to realizethe annealing process optimization and improve the continuous annealing technology. In this paper, the Heat Transfer analysis, Modeling and Dynamic response of variableconditions researches have been carried out for the heating section of a vertical continuousannealing furnace. Based on the characteristics of structure, technological process and heattransfer, a model is proposed, which includes set point calculation function, temperaturetracking function and productivity calculation function. By using unit partition method, the model of the heating section has been established. By using equivalent plane methodand imaginary plane method, the radiant heat transfer system has been established. Toimprove the treatment of furnace wall,a heat transfer model of furnace wall andenvironment has been imported. To establish the dynamic model of heating section, acombustion model in the radiant tube has been imported. A preliminary study of dynamicresponse of heating section under variable conditions has been developed.Based on the established model of the heating section, the three functions of thecalculation have been achieved, by using C#programming language. Use CFD simulationto validate the rationality of the equivalent plane method. Calculating the strip temperaturecurve and furnace temperature set value by using the established steady-state model, andcomparing the values with the strip technology curve in the vertical furnace specificationand the actual measured furnace temperature, the results are relatively consistent.Calculating strip temperature and furnace temperature dynamic response when furnacetemperature increases and decreases as changing steel, the qualitative rules are consistentwith references.
