One kind of hypereutectic aluminum silicon copper alloy is used asexperimental material, during the process of solidification, primary siliconparticles are used to simulate the non-metal inclusions. Distribution of theparticles in different parameters of the rotating magnetic field (RMF) and thereversing alternating magnetic field. Some rudimentary separatingmechanisms on the non-metallic inclusions are proposedThe research discovers that:(1) centrifugal force induced by rotatingmagnetic field is able to push primary silicon particles with density smallerthan surrounding Al-Si-Cu melt moving toward center of sample by rotatingmagnetic field, where silicon particles can coagulate to form large size ofsilicon clusters. These silicon clusters can migrate to upper parts of thesample more quickly under the influence of buoyancy.(2) The current of theRMF determines the ability of the primary silicon particles up to the top of thesample. The frequency of the RMF determines the frequency of theparticles’coagulation, which can make the particles grow larger. The moretime in RMF the more effetcion.(3)Positive and negative alternating rotationmagnetic field has the same principle of the RMF, just different in action. Onthe basis of enhancing the frequency of the collision, to make more largersilicon particle clusters, which can move up more quickly.(4) The current ofthe Positive and negative alternating rotation magnetic field also determinesthe migration ability of the silicon particles, the effect of the frequency doesthe same action with the RMF, but the Positive and negative alternatingrotation magnetic field does more work, because it makes larger siliconparticles cluster. The turn time has its best value, beyond the range, got a badresult.(5)With the Positive and negative alternating rotation magnetic fieldand RMF, not the larger value of the current and frequency the betterresults, but once the value larger than the best value, will get a very worstresult, not the result expected. The research indicates that:(1) rotating magnetic field and Positive andnegative alternating rotation magnetic field has ability to remove inclusionssuspended in molten alloy.(2) The effect of the current and frequency have achange turn, first increase and then decrease.(3) In the range of the bestvalue, the larger value of the current and the frequency the better their effect, more time benefits inclusion separation.
