In recent years, the coal mine accidents of the safety production took place repeatedly inour country, and the catastrophic was huge, the relief was very hard, so it had caused greatloss to our country’s economic and political. Therefore, the coal mine emergency rescue taskbecame very difficult. Underground coal mine rescue communication system arose in suchcases at the historic moment. It was the temporary emergency rescue and disaster reliefcommunication system, and it established when the original system of underground paralyzeddue to coal mine accident, which linked the disaster area with the underground rescue base,the ground command center, and the national production safety supervision andadministration departments. Due to the precarious and complicated condition of theunderground coal mine, the coal mine rescue communication equipments developed veryslowly and the equipment was relatively backward, so they cannot effectively reflect theactual situation of the rescue process at the site of the accident. To a certain extent, it has aheavy effect on decision and command. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a new and moreefficient underground coal mine rescue communication equipments to meet the need of coalmine rescue.Coal mine rescue communication system is a systematic research project, I amresponsible for only one part of the research work, which the card can collect the coal mineunderground audio and video data in the scene of the accident. In this paper, I analyzes thepresent existing coal mine rescue device data acquisition and the characteristics of thedeficiencies according to the characteristics of underground coal mine disasters, and putsforward a kind of audio and video data collection system based on embedded technologywhich can be used in coal mine rescue to the accident scene, at the same time, it design andresearch the overall system. It detailed expounds the underground coal mine rescue dataacquisition card’s hardware circuit design principle, system software environment’sconstruction of the process, the bottom drive and the development process of control programand the simulation and compilation method of the whole system, and so on, it lays thefoundation for the future development of the system.In this paper, I have designed and enabled the hardware circuit and software program ofthe underground coal mine rescue data acquisition card based on the modular idea. There arethe main modules: the module of the audio data acquisition, the module of the video captureand compression, the module of the transmission control and the module of the memory, andso on. In this paper, the embedded ARM9chip S3C2440is used in the design of underground coal mine rescue data acquisition card as their core device to collect and process the audio andvideo data. On the hardware side, there are audio collection chip UDA1341TS, videocollection chip C3188A, video compression chip ZR36060and transmission controller chipDM9000as auxiliary devices. On the software side, it has drivers and data sending programas the center, to achieve collecting and transmitting the real-time data such as the audio, theimage and the environmental parameters in the scene of the underground coal mine accident,so it could offer great convenience to the underground rescue work.
