Organotin is a synthetic endocrine disruptors and one of the most amount ofchemicals introduced to environment artificially with the highly toxic.Organotin(especially for tributyltin and triphenyltin) causing serious pollution inmarine environment by the use of the hull anti-fouling coatings, PVC plastics, industrial catalysts, additives and avariety of organisms have shown strong toxicity tomarine animals and can cause imposex in marine gastropods. Reports showed thatmost of the pollution caused by organotin taken place in the aquatic environment, andin particular, the concentration of organotin compounds in water, sediments andmarine organisms is relatively high in shipping density area. Due to the enrichment ofthe food chain, the concentration of organotin is higher in some aquatic organisms, there is a potential health hazards to the population who consumption of seafood withhigh contamination of organotin. It is significant to research organotin pollution onmolluscs. This paper focuses on generally the status of organotin contamination in theenvironment of Chinese Bohai Bay, choosed the Rapana Venosa which widelydistributed in the Bohai Bay region as research object. The surveys of imposex ofRapana Venosa were conducted at Dashentang、Gaoshaling and Nanpaihe in2010and2011. Found that the existence of imposex in Dashentang and Nanpaihe, imposexincidence were12.5%,6.48%in Dashentang and11.11%,22.95%in Nanpaiherespectively; and imposex was not found in Gaoshaling. By the improvedliquid-liquid extraction method, With tetraethyl boric acid sodium(NaBEt4) asderivative agent and the gas mass spectrometry(GC-MS) taken the determination oftributyltin and triphenyltin of Rapana Venosa. Results show that the prevalence oforganotin compounds pollution in the Bohai Bay. The concentration of organotinrange of0~5.14in MBT of DBT0~19.83, the TBT was0~11.55, the MPT is0~94.43, DPT is0~10.06,TPT is0~42.59ng Sn g-1(dry weight), detection rate of organotin in Rapana venosa was100%. Based on the concentration of organotindetermined in this study, conducted a risk assessment of organotin contamination ofthe Rapana venosa in Bohai Bay. All locations Risk Quotient is between0.1to1, thisshows that organotin pollution in Rapana venosa of Bohai Bay has already a certaininfluence, to take measures to control its further development.
