As a large demanded steel currently, heavy gauge steel plate is being widely developed and researched. Produce heavy gauge steel plate by vacuum composite rolling is an effective way. In this method, take two continuous casting as the preliminary plate which combined by vacuum electron beam process. Heavy gauge steel plate made by the composite member in hot rolling can avoid other methods like mould casting and single casting rolling’s abuse. In process of cladding rolling, strain at the contact face is a important factor for the result of bonding. Therefore the research of the deformation rule at the thickness direction has a significant sense. As a effective method of analysis deformation rules, FEM used in the analysis of cladding rolling is not very often. In this thesis, FEM is used to analysis the process of cladding rolling. By analysis the rules of deformation and the its effect to the bonding, make a reference to a effective method of practical cladding rolling process. The main research issues are:(1) By FEM software ANSYS/LS-DYNA’s numerical simulation and rolling experiment under laboratory conditions, analysis the degree of rolling deformation depth from surface to, the deformation rules from surface to the core the core, the deformation rules under different passes when the reduce rate changing.(2) Comprehensive analysis the result of the FEM simulate and the laboratory rolling experiments, summarize the critical condition of a well bonding at the contact face, and verify it in the factory experiment.(3) Simulate different process of cladding rolling in factory, use the conclusions made by the laboratory as reference, comprehensive consider of product performance, productivity, forming rate, and good bonding condition, make a better rolling process for practical heavy gauge steel plate production.
