The flying shear is the equipment which is used for cutting metals by the iron and steel enterprise. In the thesis, the double eccentric shaft rotary flying shear has a simple structure, reliable operation and high precision cutting, so it is used in iron and steel enterprises widely. Because of the flying shear’s big inertia and quality, therefore the flying shear can quick start, the fast response, the realization of scale attune such key technological problems need to be resolved. Therefore, in the course of product design, it is necessary to using simulation analysis method to realize the flying shear and shear motion simulation analysis. Through studying parameters which affect the shear quality and shear blade life, it can know how to improve the quality and service.In this paper, according to a double eccentric rotary shear which is equipped in a company, I analyze these problems which are flying shear for the characteristics of the flying shear, shear cycle, start scale. Based on MATLAB software package, SimMechanics,to make a dynamic simulation and analyze the flying shear system in the start-up time under the conditions of the shearing time and braking time, these work provide a reference for the realization of others shears.In order to improve the life of cut quality and cutting edge, using the commercial software DEFORM-3D and basing on rigid-plastic finite element method, to simulate the processing of flying shear plate. According different process parameters on the numerical simulation were compared to a detailed understanding of the different technological parameters on the machining process.Through the research and analysis, the flying shear structural parameters satisfy production requirements and the modeling method and simulation results has reference value for further analysis of the parameters optimization cutting process and the design of similar flying shears; Some parameters of shear obtaining from the finite element analysis method has certain reference value to improve the quality of cutting.
