Flying shear technology has always been an important part of the key technologies for rolling production lines.In the plate production line,the commonly used flying shears are crank-type flying shears,pendulum-type flying shears,and drum-type flying shears.With the progress of the times and the rapid development of the iron and steel industry,high-efficiency and high-precision high-speed flying shears have emerged,and have gradually become one of the key equipments on the production line.The lateral clearance of high-speed flying shears has a great influence on the shear section quality of flying shears.When the high-speed flying shear shears the thin strip,especially the high-temperature thin strip,the thinner the strip,the more stringent the requirements for the shear clearance are.However,due to the influence of the blunting of the shearing blade itself,friction,and many external factors,it is difficult to determine the regularity of the shear clearance in the shearing process.In this paper,the variation law of cutting edge clearance under high temperature conditions of high-speed flying shear drums and shear blades is studied through the combination of mathematical calculation,simulation analysis and experimental verification.Based on the theoretical calculation and selection of flying shears' structural size,shearing force and motor power,a finite element model of high-speed flying shears was established through finite element software,and the high-temperature flying shear sheared high-temperature strips were modeled with finite element method.In the process,the variation of the shear clearance in the lateral clearance due to the heat radiation effect of the high-temperature plate is studied.Through finite element simulation,the variation of heat flux,temperature,displacement,thermal stress,and shear clearance in high-speed flying shear under high temperature steel coils were obtained.Finally,this paper uses the variation value of the shear clearance of the shear edge obtained from the simulation results to verify on the spot.The effect of the change of shear clearance on the shear quality is verified by experiments.Simulation and experimental results show that the heat flux,temperature,deformation displacement,and thermal stress of the upper and lower drums and shearing edges of the flying shears will increase as the temperature of the steel plate rises in the shear process under the heat radiation of the high temperature steel plate;the increase of the shear clearance of the flying shears under the effect of the heat radiation caused by the high-temperature plate has a great influence on the quality of the thinner plate strips with a shear strip thickness ? 1 mm,and the effect on the quality of thicker strips with a strip thickness ? 1.5 mm is less.
