With economic globalization and the increasing of market competition, people gradually pay more attention to logistics. Currently, logistics has become the third pillar of the development of enterprises after the production and sales, as well as the company’s third profit source following of material savings and productivity gains. Terminal manufacturing logistics is an important part of logistics, including inventory and products stowage. Transportation and inventory are two of the largest consumption activities in the logistics system, but also the huge profits source. The concept of modern logistics management pays attention to the correlation among all kinds of logistics business activities. It stresses on how to manage and organize logistics activities effectively and economically with taking into account the two major elements of transportation and inventory.Research and development on optimizing management system in terminal manufacturing logistics of steel strand based on VRML combining with object-oriented programming language C#.NET is presented in this thesis. Considering the situation of storing and sending products of different kinds of type and weight under the make-to-stock mode, logical model of storage and stowage is established. Taking advantage of the integrated optimization thought, dynamic programming approach is used to calculate how to allocate storage products’ dynamically, in order to making the completed stack directly meet the requirements of train transportation (carrying more than99%). On this basis, visualization technology is used to realize the visual management on warehouse. Major works of this thesis are as follows:(1) Analyzing the process of steel strand terminal manufacturing logistics management and proposing solutions to optimize the management according to the existing problems.(2)Analyzing and designing the optimizing management system of terminal logistics of steel strand manufacturing process and using technologies such as VRML, multi-threading and so on to achieve the visual optimizing management in terminal manufacturing logistics of steel strand.(3) For the car delivery problem, a dynamic programming algorithm is proposed with the idea of exchanging space for time and achieved by using of non-recursive way. In that case, a lot of calculating time can be saved.(4) For the stack construction problem, which is similar as the on-line bin packing problem and comes from the optimizing solution, a stack constructing strategy is proposed. It emphasizes on controlling the weight of stack step by step. And a heuristic algorithm for stack construction is designed on the background of probability analysis.The research results in the thesis have been applied in the industry site, and achieved good effects.
