The number of smokers in the world are now more than11hundredmillinon,“smoking and health” problems have increased more and morepeople’s attention.Smoking is harmful to one’s health, which is already awell-know fact. The anti-smoking movement is raging like a storm, and thegovernments of the world are gradually taking strict measures on controllingcigarettes. In the face of the international and the domestic tobacco industryurgent situation and the world tobacco giant impact, for the protection of thehealth of the consumer point of view, China’s tobacco industry decision makersencourage tobacco production enterprises to continue to adopt a new tar harmreduction techniques, improving the security of smoking. From the leaf groupformulation, feed flavoring formula, tobacco expansion, expanded stem andcigarette auxiliary materials and other aspects, this article studied the low hazardenvironmental protection type cigarette, integrating a variety of tar harmreduction techniques, to achieve the purpose of reducing tar. The thesis includesthe following three aspects:1. About the cigarette formula. First, analyze the tobacco leaf quality ofeach breed、each grade and in various places, and then on basis of the chemicalanalysis data processing studies, choose the tobacco with medium sugar foroptimal combination design; Fill the cigarette formula with proper amount oftobacco sheet, so that the cigarette physical properties and chemical compositionis adjusted and improved, so as to improve the cigarette combustion, reducing the tar content of cigarette in the cigarette formula; Mix proper proportion ofexpanded cut stem in tobacco, in order to improve the filling ability and thecigarette combustion efficiency and reduce the content of tar, CO index; Strictlycontrol the amount of sugar in liquid, and use additive like esters、alcoholinstead of sugar, and try to use the characteristic fragrance substances whichtobacco or flue gas has identified to make up the aroma.2. About the cigarette accessories selection. Select the cigarette paper ofhigh porosity to increase tobacco static burning rate, add a kind of auxiliarieschanging the cigarette paper burning and a kind of high specific surface area ofthe inorganic filler to increase the ventilation efficiency, while reducingsidestream smoke escape; Use the paper of two element composite filter toimprove the filter rod forming paper permeability, increase filter filtrationefficiency and reduce cigarette tar and other harmful components conveyingcapacity; In the paper use the laser hole, so that outside air can go into the filterwhen smoking, dilute the mainstream flue gas, and reduce human inhalationamount of tar.3. About the processing technology. Use the airflow online expansionsystem (HXD) and the advanced production mode of a packet processing, makethe packet after the tobacco by two modules for classification casing and dryingto realize the packet and fine processing of raw material formula modular.Mainstream and sidestream smoke detection analysis shows that, compared withthe control of cigarette, the low hazard environmental protection type cigarette smoking tar decreases5mg each, CO decreases4.4mg each, sidestream smokegross reduces60%, and the sensory quality of cigarette smoking scores85points or more. Low hazard environmental protection type cigarette keeps theoriginal aroma jealous style, meets the smoking cigarette physiological demandand at the same time, reduces the environmental pollution in cigarettecombustion process and the harm for passive smokers, also satisfies the cigarettetar harm reduction technical requirements.
