In recent years, with the development of coal production technology, higher requirements have been proposed to the hoist for more safety and more reliability operation, security is particularly important to the normal production of mining enterprises. Effective surveillance and rapid diagnosis of hoist failure put the hoist in normal operation is the urgent problem of mining enterprises, so the research of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis expert system of the elevator is of great practical significance. The subject will design operation status detection systems, historical data query system and fault diagnosis expert system of a friction hoist, the paper includes the following:1) Detailed description of the friction hoist structure, common faults and fault reasons proposed solutions to those problems, which provides a theoretical basis for the design of the fuzzy knowledge base and the machine condition monitoring system of the friction2) Using the software LabVIEW, Visual Basic6.0, and SQL Server2005enterprise database to establish a on-line monitoring system for a friction hoist, including many features, such as the monitoring-friendly interface, video monitoring to loading and unloading position, query and print of the machine running parameters and sound and light alarm to malfunction and so on.3) Use the Visual Basic6.0and the relational database SQL Server2005to study and build the fuzzy expert diagnostic system of a friction hoist and historical data query system. Use SQL Server2005to develop the knowledge base, and fuzzy production systems are used to express knowledge, which includes fuzzy rule base, fuzzy inference engine, fuzzy facts library. Visual Basic6.0to develop the knowledge base management interface can be easily Knowledge Base query, add and modify. The fuzzy inference machine use expert knowledge to construct fuzzy diagnosis matrix, providing the basis for the realization of the faulty reasoning of the failure. Using Visual Basic6.0to connect to the database developed a friendly interface and realized the logical expression of a fuzzy expert diagnostic system.Practical application of the monitoring system and Diagnostic expert system is reliable because of its friendly interface, simple operation, accuracy of the data obtained by the monitoring, fault diagnosis is accurate and in line with the objective facts.
