Large ring radial-axial rolling is a specialized plastic rolling process, which crushes ringblank into bigger diameter and smaller cross section through continuously local by ringrolling machine. Due to saving forming force, increasing utilization ratio of material,improving productivity, higher performance of ring, widening processing rang,easy achievingand other significant advantages, ring rolling is widely used in many industrial domains.This paper applied theory calculation to analyze the radial speed and axis speed and therelation between of them in the process of ring radial-axial rolling, meanwhile, made atheoretical study on the relation between the rotation of the main roll and the rotation of theaxial roll, on sliding regulation of the axial roll and the ring. According to the geometry sizeof the D53K-2500A axial-radial ring rolling mill, analyzed the guide roll movement, and gotthe trajectory equation of the guide roll movement. Based on the theoretical results and thedata of the D53K-2500A axial-radial ring rolling, applying the large-scale general-purposefinite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA made a finite element model of theD53K-2500A axial-radial ring rolling mill. Three-dimensional dynamic numerical simulationof the ring radial-axial rolling is achieved by setting the appropriate process parameters. Itproved that the ring rolling numerical simulation by the ANSYS/LS-DYNA is feasible,while identified the key factors of affecting the rolling effect. The transformation ring gridduring the rolling process, as well as the diameter of performance of the two-way wideexhibition is studied in terms of the numerical simulation results. Finally, by changing thefriction coefficient between the rolls and ring, the rotational speed of the main roll and theradial speed of mandrel, to make a comparative study on their effect to ring rolling forming,and ultimately determined the best parameter values.This paper studied ring rolling deformation regularity on the basis of kinematics analysisof the axial-radial ring rolling and dynamic simulation analysis used FEM, which laidfoundation for setting the parameters in the radial ring rolling process.
