Study On The Garment Color Collocation Principle Based On The Skin Color Of The Eldly

Nowadays, China has entered a period of rapid development of population aging. It isurgently calling on the government and the community to provide the elderly with moreand better humanized materials, culture and service to share the benefit of the reform andopen policy."The love for beauty is a nature of all human beings." With the development of thesociety and deeper penetration of China’s reform and open policy, the notion of people hasbecome more and more international. More and more elderly people have put focus ontheir image. Scientific research shows that more than half of the people get others’ firstimpression from their dress and manners. During the establishment of the first impression,the garment color is the initial factor to cause visual reflection. Garment color has manycharacteristics, different hue of color, lightness and purity can bring different associationand feeling. The physiological function will decline when man grows old and the elderlypeople can no longer adjust to the garment style synchronously. So it will get effectinstantly to energize the elderly people through the garment color. In order to build a moreharmonious society, it’s essential to pay attention to the vulnerable social groups, and takecare of the elderly. The research is based on the background of the issue of China’s agingpopulation and the rise of silver hair economy. The skin color is defined to be the maininfluential factor. The numerical value of the elderly people’s coping facial skin color isacquired through the practical survey. Qualitative and quantitative methods are used toestablish a mathematical model so as to reveal the garment color collocation principle. Itprovides quantitative and qualitative foundation to extend the depth of the image designresearch and application. It also provides academic foundation for the costume designing,manufacturing and exploiting the elderly people’s clothing market.This paper mainly introduces the basic principles of color science, analyzes the elderly people’s predilection of garment color and investigates the current situation of theelderly people’s clothing color. And then the sample data of facial skin color is collected.The next, the color space of CIELab is quantified. The model of skin color and garmentcolor collocation is established based on the visual balance theory. Finally, the model isused to the garment color inquiring software for the elderly people and it’s helpful for theelderly people’s dressing and costume designing.This issue gets the facial photos of the elderly people using a digital camera with thefunction of accurate color rendition. Then through Photoshop software, the value of Labcolor of facial skin color can be extracted. Furthermore, a defect treatment is used on thecolor value parameters and systematic theoretical study and experimental research arecarried out.This innovation of this paper is that the study on the facial skin and clothingcollocation is digitally made. Meanwhile, the study on the clothing color collocation withthe target of the elderly people. Finally, this issue makes up elderly fashion field vacanciesand extends the research on the image design for the elderly people. It is beneficial for theelderly people and the clothing field to select and collocate colors.
