This paper analyzes and discusses the overall design of a1300T oil presser renovation project and body strength calculation, fabrication of frame and equipment installation technology. Renovation mainly includes:changing the original1000T hydraulic pressure system into1300T hydraulic system; reinforcing body and widening effective distance; replacement of electric-control system; optimization structure; etc. The paper systematically expounds key technology, problems and resolutions related to renovation project, which are general as follows:(1) After renovation, the body of the1300T oil presser is widened effective distance and is reinforced main beam base on the original framework. Widening transitionally connecting beams shall be constructed at the connections of every main beam. Reinforcement is based on main beam (upper beam, bottom beam, upright) to break cover plate to rearrange reinforcing rib and to replace thick cover plate.(2) After renovation, the rated working pressure of oil presser is increased and the effective distance is also increased. Moreover, the renovation is based on the originally fatigue framework. So it is necessary to calculate the strength and rigidity of body’s main components. Methods of calculation include:1. based on the basic principles of typical material structural mechanics, analyzing force situation of body’s each main beam, then calculating strength and rigidity by section simple equivalent method and programming software;2. using the method of finite element analysis to build models, data analysis and optimum design parameter.(3) Unbalance load of the moving crossbeam would took place unavoidably because of working conditions. The unbalance load can lead to great damage to oil cylinder and connections, accelerating seal rings’wear and even cylinder body wear. And attachment bolt between piston rod and moving crossbeam can be sheared easily. Therefore, connections between piston (plunger) rod and moving crossbeam should use the structure of flexible spherical connection. In this way, side force generated by unbalance load can be avoided to transfer to oil cylinder and attachment bolt, thus reducing wear of seal rings and avoiding the shear of attachment bolt.
