This thesis focuses on Sr4Si3O8Cl4,which doped with Mg and Ca were synthesized byhigh-temperature solid-state. The main point is that photo luminescence and temperaturecharacter of the phosphor influenced with doped ions Mg2+and Ca2+, So double color andsingle color white-light achieved with the samples. Specific research is as follows:Doped Sr4Si3O8Cl4:Eu2+with Mg and Ca to change the crystal field of Eu2+4f-45d,Phase purities of MxSr4-xSi3O8Cl4:Eu2+(M=Mg, Ca) are examined on XRD, andluminescence properties of MgxSr4-xSi3O8Cl4:Eu2+blue-emitting phosphors andCaxSr4-xSi3O8Cl4:Eu2+yellow-emitting phosphors, which can be efficiently excited bynear-ultraviolet (NUV) chips. Emphasis is placed on the explanation of the effect of Mg andCa concentration, new emitting peak appeared on the emitting spectra,450nm onblue-phosphor and580on yellow phosphor, the new peak were attributed to the split of theEu2+energy level. Then we mix blue phosphor Mg0.4Sr3.6Si3O8Cl4:Eu2+and yellowphosphor Ca0.4Sr3.6Si3O8Cl4:Eu2+by special proportion, found that the mixture emitting whitelight excited by NUV(395nm).We choose Ca0.4Sr3.6Si3O8Cl4:Eu2+as matrix, doped with Mg2+, Phase purities ofMgxCa0.4Sr3.6-xSi3O8Cl4:Eu2+are examined on XRD, luminescence properties ofMgxCa0.4Sr3.6-xSi3O8Cl4:Eu2+can be efficiently excited by NUV chips. When x=0.20.30.4,the phosphors emitting white light excited by NUV(395nm). The temperature character isexcellent than Sr4Si3O8Cl4, so this white light emitting phosphor is a promising new kind ofphosphor in fabricated white light emitting diodes.
