Male Inflorescence will waste amounts of nutritions in that the Male Inflorescence often needs to be removed. Chestnut pollen is rich in flavonoids which is helpful for the human beings’ health. Thus it is gradually being developed and utilized at home and abroad. The research has been done on flavonoids extraction, purification and separation processes taking the Male Inflorescence as raw material. The main results were as follow:1Microwave-assisted extraction for flavonoids from chestnut pollen was the optimum extraction method. The optimum conditions of microwave-assisted extraction from chestnut pollen were:the ethanol concentration:70%;the microwave power:180w;the extracting time:2minutes; the solid-solvent ratio:1:40.In the above conditions, the extracting ratio of flavonoids from chestnut pollen was5.2%.2The optimum food processing for flavonoids extraction from chestnut pollen was as follows:steaming processing time:2min; boiling processing time2min; pressure processing temperature on the0.14MPa:15min; fermentation time:3days; Yeast amount5%.3Varieties of raw materials should be used Yanhong. The extracting ratio of Yanhong flavonoids was higher than other varieties. As could be seen from the extracting ratio:Yanhong>Huaijiu>Yanping>Huaihuang. The optimum storage processing should be used storage processing. As could be seen from the extracting ratio:dried processing> freezing processing> dry processing. The optimum harvest time for the chestnut pollen was full-bloom stage. As could be seen from the extracting ratio:full-bloom stage>initial bloom stage.4The AB-8macroporous resin had been used to separate and purify flavonoids from chestnut pollen. The optimum conditions of separation and purification for flavonoids from chestnut pollen were as follows:the current velocity of sample solution:3mL/min;the eluting reagent:70%ethanol; the eluting velocity:2mL/min.
