MSW(Municipal Solid Waste) has becoming a serious problem of controlenvironmental pollution. Incinerating is one kind of mature technology has theadvantages of Reuse, Reduce and Recycle. Through the corresponding used to MSWin the processing of mechanical grate, fluidized bed, rotary furnace, gasification andmelting technology such as the comparison of the Incineration technologies, andpoints out that the mechanical grate incinerator is used frequently in the world ofMSW furnace type. Mechanical grate Incineration technologies has wide adaptability,convenient operation, perfect and reliable, high stability, large capacity, convenientoperation and maintenance, less harmful gases, can burn MSW of the low heat valueand high moisture, it is incineration technology equipment that suitable for China’sMSW. Reciprocating motion of mechanical grate can not only realize MSW in thebed turn mixture mixing of the longitudinal and upper and lower,increasingventilation pore, improve dry, burning and burning of MSW uniformity and stability,and avail the ash moving with the longitudinal and moving out of the bed.Through the study of the structure characteristics of the mechanical grate,analysis of influence factor that MSW motion in the bed, and design the cold-stateexperimental equipment that is suitable of motion of the MSW. Experimentalequipment is consists of mechanical grate, drive systems, control system and generalframework. Based on the experimental equipment can be simulated grates whichmove forwards and backwards, research the single structure parameters for the MSWin the bed with the influence of the transportation speed, average residence time,mixture character.The experiment using tracer method study structural parameters of mechanicalgrate is influence of MSW in the motion characteristics. The experimental materials issame of the components of the real MSW, the main ingredients including hutch slag,the plastic, the paper,the waste, and other category. The paper also introduces themethod of debugging experimental equipment, this makes experiment more scientificand reasonable, more safety.Through the introduction of the discrete element method, the force of thespherical garbage theoretical analysis, is theoretical foundation for the analysis of the material in the particles provide. Then through the test material in experimentalequipment in different of structure parameters of stoker movement characteristics,analysis the motion characteristics, and different structure parameters of bed obliquity,travel and activities speed of the grate, height of grate and experimental materialmovement characteristics of the relationship. The experiment material in motioncharacteristics is including material transfer speed, average residence time, trajectory,etc.The research results of the mechanical design and optimization designimprovement of the mechanical grate, to provide effective basis, to form to adapt tothe characteristics of the our country new technology for the independentdevelopment high technology content, and suitable for China of the characteristics ofthe MSW burned stoker mechanical complete sets of equipment to provide a powerfulbasis, for mechanical grate incinerator technology innovation localization tocontribute.
