Sizing and Resizing are two major Problems that influence the current development of the warp sizing. With the research and development of glass fiber’s sizing agents and process, the common size for warp sizing is mainly comprised of starch, Polyethylene alcohol and acryliesize. The sizing formula were determined too. It is used widely in glass fiber composite and desizing is essential before weaving. High-temperature calcination is the main removal method at present which is not only polluted to the enviroment but also a kind of energy waste. Excessive energy consumption will also increase the cost of company. Other wise, high-temperature calcination will decrease the glass fiber tense, thus, the tense of composite is decreased too.For above mentioned reasons, this paper tries to find a new glass fiber functional size which has not only the basic properties for the warp sizing but also has no effect to glass fiber reinforced polypropylene composites without resizing. A new kind of sizing agent which is good for glass fiber sizing performance and composite performance with polypropylene. Following studies are carried out after the research on sizing, weaving and polypropylene composites. 1. The newly got glass fiber texturized yarn can meet the requirement of textile sizing agent.2. Glass fiber texturized is unnecessary to desizing when sizing with functional sizing agent. The performance of glass fiber cloth reinforced polypropylene composite can meet the requirement of textile sizing agent.
