As a new high-tech in recent years,virtual reality technology has been applied in the field of coal security.Based on the Unreal Engine 4(UE4)platform and virtual reality technology,this paper designs and implements a set of mine disaster simulation and virtual roaming escape system.In order to reappear the influence of mine disaster,the dynamic evolution process simulation of fire and water inrush spread disaster based on physical model is designed and implemented.The system is applicable to mine disaster demonstration,mine roaming,disaster escape and miners' safety training.Users can use virtual helmets,Virtuix Omni treadmill,leap motion and other interactive devices to complete the interactive operation of relevant equipment in the established mine virtual scene,and complete the escape training after the emergency disaster,which has a strong application value.The main work of this paper is as follows:First,based on the existing research of the research group,the system requirements analysis is completed,and the software structure and system framework are determined.The tunnel model based on CAD drawing of mine and automatic modeling technology is optimized in 3ds max.In UE4,according to the actual scene,build three-dimensional model,build virtual scene and optimize the lighting setting,collision detection and so on,so that the tunnel environment can be simulated realistically.Secondly,using the UE4 development platform,the water and flame model based on the physical model completed by the research group is applied to realize the simulation of fire and water inrush spread in a large range in the roadway,which verifies the accuracy of the theoretical research and gives the simulation effect.Thirdly,combined with HTC vive virtual helmet,Virtuix Omni treadmill and other devices,the immersive virtual roaming is realized,which gets rid of the limitation of keyboard and mouse,and improves the immersive effect of interactive experience.Based on this,the escape system is designed with the aid of disaster simulation module to complete the training purpose of users'disaster escape.In addition,new methods such as leap motion hand interaction and sound effects are added to make the experience more realistic.Finally,the paper summarizes and analyzes the content of the whole paper,points out the shortcomings of the system objectively and looks forward to further research and improvement in the future.
