Because of the advantages of strong bearing capacity, stable transmission ratioand long life, spiral bevel gear widely used in the aerospace, automobile and shippingindustries, but due to the very complicated design and manufacturing process andtechnology monopoly, the spiral bevel gear manufacture processing is still slowdevelopment and seriously restrict the overall level of our equipment manufacturingindustry. This topic research achievements plays important role in the development oflarge spiral bevel gear NC machine, improve the technical level of the equipmentmanufacturing industry in our country and improving the relevant industry andnational defense product performance, meanwhile it will produce great economic andsocial benefits.Firstly, in this dissertation, spiral bevel gear of gleason gear tooth systemprocessing principles is investigated and its forming mechanism is thoroughlyanalyzed. Several kinds of processing methods of the driving and driven gear areintegrated and refining, all kinds difference of every forming method and processingtechnology and described.Secondly, an adaptive acceleration-deceleration control method of parametriccurve interpolator is presented. In the interpolation preprocessing, the velocity profileis analyzed, where the feed rates are varied due to the contour errors. Theaccelerations and decelerations are controlled with the consideration of the limitedjerk. With the proposed approach, the machining accuracy is guaranteed. The feedrateis adaptively adjusted and smoothed according to the curve shape. The shock imposedon the mechanical parts by the variation of accelerations and jerks is efficientlyavoided. Based on such adaptive acceleration-deceleration control method combined with spiral bevel gear NC machining, the high-precision parametric interpolationalgorithm of spiral bevel gear NC machining is proposed. The algorithm is applied tothe self-developed spiral bevel gear NC milling machine to control the gear cutting.On the hardware part, choose the right device types according to the structureprinciple of each component in the control system, developed a special numericalcontrol system hardware structure. By using industrial computer, galil motioncontroller and the servo motor composed of open CNC system. On the softwarepart,in the VB6.0development environment, use the API function to realize thesoftware design of open special numerical control system.
