The connecting rod bushing is reciprocating piston engine connected to the piston pinand connecting rod small end parts, its role is to avoid direct contact between connecting rodsmall end and piston pin to prevent stress concentration. At the same time,the connecting rodbushing also need to withstand the alternating load from piston pin and inertia force fromconnecting rod. Therefore, the connecting rod bushing is one of the main vulnerable parts ofthe engine, its reliability and service will directly affect the working reliability indicators ofthe engine. Power spinning technology is an advanced plastic deformation of the surfacestrengthening technology, it is suitable for manufacturing high pressure and high strength ofthe connecting rod bushing.This project will focus on copper alloy QSn7-0.2raw materials,using elastic-plastic finite element method to simulate connecting rod bushing spinningprocess. The main research contents are as follows:(1)On the basis of the existing elastic-plastic theory and finite element numericalsimulation method, conducted numerical simulation on spinning process using finite elementsoftware Simufact;(2)Analyzed the force condition of spinning pieces in the spinning rod bushing process,found the variation of the spinning force and the material uplift and the law of the distributionof stress and strain;(3)Through a large number of numerical simulation, multi-parameter comparison testdata was obtained. Using the two methods of comprehensive experiments and orthogonalexperiments, the impact of different process parameters on the spin forming was analyzed, soas to effectively guide the copper alloy spinning mold design process and the formulation ofthe spinning process parameters. The research results show that reduction rate, spindle speed, feed ratio and wheelworking Angle and other process parameters have an important impact on copper alloy rodbushing spinning forming, and the reduction rate is the most obvious impact factor. BySimufact finite element software, realistic spinning process was simulated to shorten thedevelopment cycle and reduce the cost of test, as well as to provide favorable conditions forresearch and development and technical support for new products.
