With the industrial development, the requirement for water treatment is more strict, the technology of reverse osmosis (RO) desalination are adopted abroad in the most corporation. But the sediment of on RO membrane seriously affects energy loss and RO membrane life. So it is important developing a novel and high efficient RO scale inhibitor.Based on the research into the seale inhibition of several monomers, a new compound scale inhibitor was prepared by the mixture of for monomers scale inhibitor after filtrating and mixed formulation. Including Sodium of Polyepoxysuecinic Acid (PESA), Sodium of Polyaspartic Acid (PASP),2-Phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid (PBTCA) and Acry Acid-2-Acrylamido-2-Methylpropane Sulgonic Acid Copolymer (AA/AMPS)(Volume ratios PESA:PASP:PBTCA:AA/AMPS=10:7:2:1).The results showed that the properties of the compound scale inhibitor for CaCO3, CaSO4, Fe2O3was better than the similar products (eg. PTP-0100, MDC220) in the range of the inspected volume (1.0-4.0mL). The scale inhibitor rate decreased with the increase of hardness and alkalinity in the range from250to1000mg/L. The calcium tolerance of the compound scale inhibitor was better than that of PTP-0100and MDC220in the2000mg/L CaCl2solution in the range of the inspected volume (1.0-4.0mL). The P contents of the compound scale inhibitor, PTP-0100and MDC2200measured by the ammonium molybdate spectrophotometry method. The P content of the compound scale inhibitor, PTP-0100and MDC220was22mg/L,85mg/L and507mg/L, respectively. The P contents of the concentrated water was efficiently decreased using new compound scale inhibitor.The scale of CaCO3and CaSO4were measured between blank and adding compound scale inhibitor by SEM and XRD. The crystal struture of CaCO3and CaSO4was altered by compound scale inhibitor. The mechanism of compound scale inhibitor was studied by crystal lattice aberration, complexation solubilization and agglomerate dispersion.The compound scale inhibitors were better than the similar imported products (eg. PTP-0100, MDC220). It has a good prospect for the application.
