Because of its chemical stability, non-toxic, low cost, photocatalyst and UVabsorption properties, Titanium dioxide has wide applications in semiconductor, catalyst,functional finishing of textiles and other fields. But now nano-TiO2powders in textileapplication have more disadvantages, such as poor dispersion, poor combination withfabric and cracking, which are restricted in the textile fields.The subject modifies TiO2sol under the premise of its synthesis, the final result isnearly neutral, good stability, better UV absorption and photocatalytic effect. In the processof systhesizing TiO2sol, the ratio of TiCl4and H2O in the hydrolysis process, the solutiontime, temperature and the final pH value were considered. The crystal type and the averageparticle size were tested by XRD and nano-TiO2particle size analyzer. Though degradingmethylene blue to compare the TiO2photocatalytic effect. The fianal conditions of TiO2solwere that TiCl4concentration is1mol/L, solution temperature is60℃, solution time is3hand the final Ph value is1.5. Under these conditions, TiO2particle isoelectric point is6.8and Eg is3.87eV. The electrode has a high redox potential. In the process of modifing TiO2sol, PVP, PEG-1000, PEG-6000, CMC, SHMP, Sodium lauryl sulfate and KH550sevenmodifiers were choiced. The products were characterized by infrared spectra.Finally, KH550modified TiO2sol were selected. In the application of textiles, thetextiles after finishing have UV resistant, VOC degradation performance.The mothod bresks the previous preparation power firstly, and then dispersed. At thesame time, in the process of modifing nano-TiO2sol, the modifer can added directly. Aftermodified, the stability was increased, the connection with textile was strengthen and thetextile has a good washing resistance. This preparation method of nano-TiO2sol willprovide guidance for industrial production.
