Nowadays,in mining production in our country and abroad,a Part-face roadheader arewidely used. main research object in this paper is boom-type roadheader which is widely used inroadway. The main problem to be solved is according to different distribution of coal and rockhow to automatically adjusts the speed of the cantilever oscillation. And then to realize constantpower control of the cutting motor.The model for this article is longitudinal axis type roadheader of EBJ-132A. In the courseof the study in parameters of mainworking mechanism of boom-type roadheader,combine withthe sizes of laneway section, establish the mathematic model.Through the traditional methods ofdisplacement measuring and control of hydraulic cylinder, leads to the application of numericalhydraulic cylinder,and use it to control displacement of working hydraulic cylinder of boom-typeroadheader. According to the special conditions that coal and rock usually exist together in samesection of laneway.proposed the program that based on the working conditions to adjustment thefeed rate of horizontal and lift cylinder,then control the speed of the cantilever oscillation.and therated power of cutting motor can be maintained constant.The power be constanted,when cuttingthe coal with smaller hardness, then need the high feeding velocity and low feeding force,whencutting the coal or combination of coal and rock with high hardness,then need the low feedingvelocity and high feeding force.In this paper, based on the analysis of genetic algorithms and fuzzy control, According tothe boom-type roadheader cutting body constant power control system,design a fuzzy controllerbased on genetic algorithms optimization,whose operational parameters can automatically adjustaccording to the system’s current dynamic error.The controller can according to the processcontrol system to automatic adjustment of line parameters.Compare with the traditional fuzzycontroller whose parameters are fixed.it can improved significantly the system’s dynamicbahavior and steady-state performance,and adaptabillity,it can be utilized extensively incontrolling various objects.Simulation of the model was done with Matlab, to study the characteristics of its dynamicand steady-state, and analysis of the feasibility. Results show that the system can automaticallyadjust the swing speed of roadheader according to different coal and rock, reduce the power lossof the machine and improve the working efficiency. which indicates that the system has faster response, higher accuracy, as well as good control characteristics,and increasing the ability ofthe boom-type roadheader to adapt to the load changes and complex conditions,and provides thebasis for inprove the boom-type roadheader speed control system. For the near future,theroadway excavation automated, unmanned provides a feasible solution.
