The waste filling technology by a fully mechanized face under Buildings is to fill coal gangue in the goaf, to control the movement and deformation of the overlying rock and earth’s surface. The purpose is to maximize exploitation and utilization of the limited and non-renewable coal resources on condition of the safe use of the buildings and structures. At the same time, the waste filling can also get following effects, reducing the discharge of coal gangue over the earth’s surface and environmental burden, protecting the environment.Accorded to the geological conditions and layout of production system in Tangshan mine,in the paper study on developing design of gangue filling system under buildings by fully mechanized face has been done. At first the experiment and analysis of compaction characteristics of gangue have been made, thereby the range of particle size and gradation of filling gangue have been made sure, to provide the theoretical basis to the design of filling system. Then the feed and transport system of gangue filling has been designed, mainly including the selection of feeding mode, designs of the ground transportation and processing system, of the gangue feeding and storage system and of the underground transportation system and so on. And then the type selection or the design of filling equipments in working face have been studied, mainly includes of filling hydraulic support, drag conveyer and self moving transport conveyor and so on. At last the technical filling processes in goaf and two lane have been designed.In the base of the design of filling system, the construction project cost, the equipment investment and the main cost of the filling system have been estimated. Then the analysis of social benefi has been done.
