Upward mining has its superiority and adaptability as a special kind of mining method in the special geological conditions, and the process of upward mining is limited by many factors, such as the mining height of lower coal, the spacing between upper and lower coal seams, the lithology of strata between different coal seams, etc. In order to improve the applicability of the ascending mining, this article presented the gangue filling method used in ascending mining,based on the engineering background of 22189 face upward mining of Shanjiaoshu mine in guizhou, conducted the researches through theoretical analyzing, gangue compression experimenting, numerical simulating based on previous achievement., and reached the following conclusions:⑴Using the elastic foundation beam theory, get the mining roof rock beam sinking curve equation. To determine the the artificial controllable factors of movement of upper rock in the waste rock filling mining mainly including the top control zone foundation coefficient, the top amount owed and the filling foundation coefficient.⑵Theoretical analysis of the feasibility for ascending mining was finished,the feasibility theory criterion of upward mining and the theoretical criterion of keeping the structura lintegrity for the whole upper coal seam is obtained.⑶ Combined with the movement rule of gangue filling mining strata and the feasibility of upward mining theory criteria, the filling parameters of 22189 face for gangue filling-ascending mining in shanjiaoshu mine is been designed.⑷The continuous gradation gangue as filling material was determined throughing the gangue compression experiments.⑸ Using 3DEC numerical simulation to comprehensive analysis, the result shows that the non-fill height is less than 0.5m and elastic modulus of filling materials is about 0.5Gpa, the result of numerical simulate is consistent with the theoretic analysis result.⑹ Combined with theoretical analysis and numerical simulation and relevant research results, design the shanjiaoshu mine 22189 face coal gangue filling system, and the filling height is 2.7 m.
