In the industry, the isothermal quenching ductile cast iron itself is of good performance, therefore, the insiders in the field of engineering, at home and abroad, give its development universal attention. Along with the continuous application of the isothermal quenching ductile iron (ADI), the quality inspection and control are paid much more attention by the insiders. And spheroidizing rate is exactly the most important factors that affect its quality, has become an important link in the enterprise management of many casting industry and become the key to gain competitive advantages. Because the original spheroidizing rate detection method of DY company is still complicated, the test method to improve research is very urgent and important, at the same time to improve the comprehensive competitiveness of the company has the important meaning.In this paper, the spheroidizing rate of the traditional test method, at first, is completely analyzed, because object ontology test can’t be realized. Based on certain conditions, it is well-known there are linear relations between nodular cast iron spheroidization rate and ultrasonic measuring instrument of the longitudinal wave velocity. Applying the samples produced by DY company, putting forward the improvement of the test methods, analyzing portable ultrasonic testing method, then analyzing test method with ECRS and pointing out the necessity of each process. On this basis, analyzing the process of improvement testing method with5W2H and PDCA cycle analysis respectively, the sample of spheroidizing rate has the corresponding national standard test the results. The pulse reflection method determination of sound velocity is ensured in the measurement of sample velocity. laying a good foundation for improvement, and provides a certain theoretical basis for the next step of the ultrasonic in spheroidal graphite cast iron in the speed of sound change, in the comparison process of related documents fitting curve. In the sound velocity and spheroidizing rate of linear relationship curve error analysis, fitting curve calculated value and this example data value has good correlation, ensuring to improve the smooth completion of the target, which has an important meaning; In ductile iron different organization sound velocity comparative analysis, through the analysis, the basic purpose is to improve the preliminary test method and to be helpful for further improvement; In the ontology spheroidizing rate and velocity curve verification results analysis, verify the improvement method for spheroidizing rate test is more nondestructive, and improves overall level of the test method.Through the improvement of physical ontology spheroidizing rate test method of DY company, it has been in line with the requirement of actual production. If enterprise advantage is continuous, and design of research and development is emphasized, it, through the introduction of related technical talents, also has the certain reference significance for the rest of the industry enterprise, entrusting the third party to test to realize economic benefits.
