For the industrial water, cooling water is the mainly usage, it is above60%of the industrial water. In China, industrial water-saving level is still low, the potential of water-saving is high. According to the situation of water treatment agents in China, we can see that water treatment agents are very important for industrial water-saving and stable production running in the industry.This paper summarizes the research progress of the domestic and foreign circulating water treatment agent, based on the scale inhibitor, corrosion and microbiological reaction mechanism, the choice of the alkaline zinc circulating water treatment agent for circulating cooling water treatment at a thermal power plant in Shandong, studied alkaline zinc circulating water treatment agent for circulating cooling water scale inhibitor, corrosion, microbiological control of application conditions, the influencing factors and automated monitoring and control equipment auxiliary applications. Through the analysis and discussion of the circulating cooling water mechanism and different impact factors, summarize the operating conditions that can meet GB50050-2007the National Institute of Standards for Industrial Cooling Water System.The paper study the application of fluorescence detection technologies Nalco3D TRASAR automatic monitoring and control equipment to reduce the amount of manual labor, reducing the security risks of the plant, and provide a reliable guarantee for stable long-term operation of the circulating cooling water system. The application of Nalco3D TRASAR automatic monitoring and control equipment solved the problems of automatic control of the circulating cooling water system water quality indicators, water quality data is stable running to ensure the normal operation of the circulating cooling water system.After alkaline zinc circulating water treatment agent series of experimental results showed that the the alkaline zinc circulating water treatment agent processing cycle cooling water, when calcium hardness is between350to390mg/L, alkalinity is between250to290mg/L, pH is between8.31to8.47, the corrosion rate of carbon steel equipment is less than0.075mm/year, bacteria (heterotrophic bacteria) is less than1x105/mL, shows that the control limit of the cooling water is in the scope of GB50050-2007the National Institute of Standards for Industrial Cooling Water System. Circulating cooling water in a thermal power plant of Shandong can realize water cost savings of RMB471,700.00every year.
