In this paper, the automatic fixed-length cutting equipment of the steel pipe cuttingproduction line served as the research object, the new idea to the variable speed feed ofthe saw blade in the process of high-speed rotating was proposed, and the cold cuttingequipment control system was studied and developed which has the variable speedingand the fixed-length cutting and which has such these characteristics as the highequipment reliability, the simple structure, and the easy debugging.The system adopts three AC servo motors, one of which controls the speed of andthe displacement of the saw car, one of which controls the feed of saws, and one ofwhich controls the high-speed rotating of saws, and makes the blade, in the whole feedprocess, to not only do the fix-length cutting but also to do the change speed accordingto the cutting area and different materials. Such problems in the traditional processing asthe high energy consumption, the blade jitter, the low efficiency, the short blade life, andthe poor quality steel face methods were overcame, and the overall scheme of thecontrol system was accordingly designed, namely, that the PLC adopted as the corecontroller, and the touch screen acted on an human-computer interactive medium, andmeanwhile, the host computer used the configuration software to achieve the monitor tothe system status. The system chose the S7-200PLC, Yaskawa Σ Ⅱ series AC servodrive system, MT506touch screen of Weilun and Likong configuration software as thecore component.In view of the characteristics of the equipment, the principle, control mode andapplication of servo were introduced, such these problems to the blade in the high-speedrotating as the variable-speed cutting mechanism, the mathematical modeling, theestablishment of the array formula process, the method to achieve the appropriatevelocity curve of PLC control servo drive, and the establishment of system monitor andthe configuration screen, were analyzed in detail in this paper.The entire system controls the speed and displacement of the saw car servo motorand the blade servo motor according to the data of array formula through PLC, andsends feedback pulse signals to the servo driver and PLC by rotary encoder, and monitors the work states of system by configuration softwares, and thus forms a closedloop control system. One has the high automation degree and the reliability, thehigh-quality steel cutting, and the long life blade.
